Another Boost for Indian Army: DRDO Tested Anti Tank Missile

New Delhi: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) Tested Anti Tank Missile. The low weight, fire and forget Man Portable Antitank Guided Missile (MPATGM) is tested in the ranges of Kurnool(AP). It will be another boost for Indian Army.

According to the Ministry, “The missile was launched from a man portable Tripod launcher and the target was mimicking a functional tank. The missile hit the target in top attack mode and destroyed it with precision. All the mission objectives were met.”

Defence Minister Sh. Rajnath Singh congratulated DRDO India on this ahievement.

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is an agency of the Government of India, charged with the military‘s research and development, headquartered in New Delhi, India. It was formed in 1958 by the merger of the Technical Development Establishment and the Directorate of Technical Development and Production of the Indian Ordnance Factories with the Defence Science Organisation.
